If you are interested in either volunteering with Outset or providing a volunteering opportunity please contact the local Outset Representative for your area. 

Here are some of the recent exciting volunteering opportunities you could get involved in with Outset in Worthing and Adur:

  • Have a say on what happens in your area by getting involved in your local Youth Council.
  • Assist within many of the Youth Centres in Worthing, helping with Sport, Art, Street Dance, Youth Theatre, Cookery and Graffiti Projects

  • Ferring Country Centre:
    • Assist within the Riding Therapy Unit, supporting Children and Adults with learning disabilities.
    •  The Horticultural Unit: Help service users to develop their skills by using your own knowledge in horticulture or gardening. Assist with plant sales
  • Worthing and Southlands Hospital - 20 week placement that involves talking and listening to patients, taking messages, assisting at mealtimes, photocopying and filing.
  •  Guild Care: 
    • Assist within charity shops
    • Befriending and interacting with residents at one of their Care Homes
    • Supporting residents to participate in activities, serving refreshments and helping to set up activity equipment
    • Generals helpers to assist with The Ashdown Club, which provides play activities for children and young people with a range of additional needs during school holidays and Saturdays
  • The Community House
    • Volunteer with an arts and crafts group ‘Krafty Kids’
    • Gardening Club
    • Homework and Computer Club
    • Summer Activities
    • Youth Group
