As the area is in a rural setting I have focused on conservation opportunities which will help look after the countryside for people to enjoy and give the volunteer a chance to work outdoors and gain valuable skills. Here are some of the recent exciting volunteering opportunities you could get involved in with Outset in the Steyning & Chanctonbury area:

The conservation projects working in this area who need volunteers are:

Horsham has many opportunities for young people to get involved in the community.

  • Conservation or become part of a new project as a Young Ranger.
  • Charity shops- you can gain experience in the retail industry for future career prospects.
  • Sports and play schemes for children with additional needs. For example Grasshoppers and You can do it. Helping with table tennis, badminton as well as trampolining and social outings. These projects reply on volunteers so would welcome younger volunteers.

In fact if you are interested in gaining confidence, experience as well as something for your CV we can find it.
